About Us

Who We Are

Home Tuition Canada International and its initiative Senitent is dedicated to empowering Black seniors by addressing their unique needs, fostering independence, and promoting social inclusion. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for seniors through tailored programs that combat isolation, build skills, and celebrate their contributions.

We focus on key areas such as digital literacy, financial education, health and wellness, elder abuse prevention, and social connectivity. Our goals include reducing social isolation, improving seniors’ access to resources, and creating opportunities for intergenerational learning and community engagement.

Through initiatives like community gardening, outdoor dance programs, and mentorship networks, we aim to foster connection, joy, and purpose among seniors. Senitent is committed to building a society where seniors feel valued, supported, and inspired to thrive while actively contributing to their communities.

Our Mission

To empower Black seniors and youth in Calgary by bridging generations through mentorship, cultural exchange, and skills development. We reduce isolation, build digital and financial literacy, promote health and safety, and foster belonging, so participants feel valued, connected, and equipped to thrive in their communities.

What We Do

Home Tuition Canada International (HTCI) and its initiative, Senitent, are dedicated to enriching lives through education and empowerment. HTCI provides personalized tutoring and mentorship programs to support students of all ages, fostering academic excellence, confidence, and lifelong learning.

Together, HTCI and Senitent aim to create a supportive, inclusive community where individuals of all ages feel valued, connected, and empowered to achieve their full potential. These initiatives emphasize intergenerational collaboration, cultural awareness, and meaningful connections, enriching the lives of community members and fostering resilience and growth.

Intergenerational Mentorship

Monthly one-on-one connections where seniors share life skills, cultural heritage, and career guidance, while youth introduce seniors to new technologies and trends.

Cultural Heritage Workshops

Hands-on learning about Black history, traditions, music, dance, and art.

Community Engagement Events

Talent showcases, storytelling nights, and cultural fairs that bring everyone together.

Skill-Building Workshops

Training in financial literacy, digital skills, civic engagement, and career readiness.
